Joyce Selina Love

Architect

Joyce Selina has extensive experience with design, as well as project management for Multi-Family, Mixed-Use, Hospitality, Residential, Commercial, and Community-based projects. With over 20 years of experience, she has led and managed architectural and consultant teams on a variety of projects throughout all project phases. She finds joy in being a part of the Planning Phase since communicating and collaborating with the clients and the users happen more often in this phase than during the rest of the phases. She also skillfully handles the Contract Administration Phase of a project and is experienced in the use of Procore as a coordination tool with Construction firms. As part of her drive to give back to the next generation of architects and designers, Joyce Selina works part-time as an adjunct professor with the University of Memphis Architectural Department. She also currently serves as Chair on the Downtown Memphis Design Review Board, is a member of the Downtown Memphis Commission’s Anti-Blight Committee, a Director of the American Institute of Architects (AIA) – Memphis Chapter, the Treasurer of the National Organization of Minority Architects (NOMA) – Memphis Chapter, a Commissioner of the Memphis Landmarks Commission, and participates in several community service efforts. A fun fact about Joyce Selina is that she is trilingual, speaking English, German, and American Sign Language.
