Linda Clark

Architect and Interior Designer

Linda J. Clark, AIA, NCARB, NCIDQ, WELL AP is a licensed architect and Interior Designer from Washington, DC whose passion is designing healthy and sustainable learning environments for K-12 public schools, as well as other community based architecture including healthcare, recreational, and workplace design in the Washington DC metropolitan area since 2011. She received her Bachelor of Fine Art degree in 2009 from Virginia Commonwealth University in Richmond, VA majoring in Interior Design. She later completed her Master of Architecture degree from the University of Maryland, in College Park, MD in 2012. In her professional career, she is an Associate at Grimm and Parker Architects in Calverton, MD, a regional sustainable architecture firm that seeks to give meaning to the buildings and spaces that shape the lives of their communities, and believes in giving back to their communities through ideas and inspiration, their time and their talents – within and outside of their projects. With a focus on wellness and creating healthy environments, Linda became a WELL Building Standard accredited professional and her projects also include several LEED Silver, Gold, Platinum and Net Zero Energy projects. 

 

In 2018, she founded Creative Build-Up Initiative; a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, which serves to inspire and empower minority and urban youth to enter STEAM fields and to foster creative problem-solving skill building with explorations in Science, Technology, Engineering, Art and Math (S.T.E.A.M).
