Whitni Irving

Project Architect

Whitni Irving is a licensed architect passionate about the intersection of architecture and diversity who seeks to uplift marginalized communities by designing spaces that inspire and connect. She specializes in urban design and community planning, incorporating resiliency strategies that foster building and human health. She currently works as a Project Architect at Moody Nolan’s Boston Studio where she brings organizational efficiency, sustainable design expertise, and cross-disciplinary creativity to every project. At Moody Nolan, Whitni participates in the Diversity, Equity, & Inclusion (DEI) Committee where she researches how to quantify DEI in Moody Nolan’s past and current projects to improve the firm’s impact in future endeavors. She also co-leads Moody Nolan’s Social Events Committee which is a platform that connects employees across all offices through virtual and in-person activities. She is involved in AIA, LEED Green Associate, and active member of NOMA as Communications Co-Chair of the NOMA Boston chapter.

When not working, Whitni is committing her time to BosNOMA, speaking on the Autoblack podcast, crafting unique furniture and accessories, and seeking out the best BBQ in Boston. She earned her Bachelor of Art in Architecture at Clemson University and a dual degree Master of Architecture and Urban Design at the University of North Carolina at Charlotte.
